MOUNT ABU  -  Rajasthan's only hilly station

Nakki Lake A Pleasant, hot season retreat from the plains and Rajasthan's only hill station. Mt Abu spreads out along a 1200 mt high plateau. Mt Abu's main tourist attractions are its numerous temples. In particular, the Dilwara temples are one of the finest examples of Jain architecture in India. Achalgarh, a well-known Shiva temple; Guru Shikhar, the highest point in Rajasthan and Gaumukh temple are amongst the other places of interest. Besides these, there is Nakki lake, which takes its name from the legend that it was scooped out by God with only one nail.

  • Road : Good network of bus services, Key connections are Ahmedabad 221 km, Jodhpur 326 km.
  • Air     : Udaipur 185 km is nearest airport.
  • Rail   : Abu Road is 29 km is the closest railhead linked with Ahmedabad, Delhi, Jaipur and Jodhpur by train.
