  • Perur Temple: An old temple built by Karikala Chola is dedicated to Lord Shiva, Exquisite sculpture is to be found in its hall - the Kannagasabai.

  • Maruthamalai Temple: Dedicated to Dandayuthapani (Murugan), this temple is an important place of worship. V.O.C. Park: A fine park with a mini zoo and a toy train is named after the freedom fighter V.O.Chidambaram.
