Haridwar Maha KumbhSituated on the right bank of the Ganga, Haridwar is one of the seven sacred cities of India. Associated with both Lord Shiva and Lord Vishnu, Haridwar casts a magical spell on the visitor. It is from here that the crystal clear Ganga makes its way through the lush green hills to the plains. The breathtaking sight of a thousand twinkling diyas dancing in the holy waters during the 'Ganga Ard'....the innumerable temples, ashrams, yoga centres.. ..everything adds to the charm of this oldest and holiest Indian city.

The various places of interest in and around Haridwar include Mayadevi temple, Chandi Devi, Daksha Prajapati temple, Bharat Mata temple, Shanti Kunj, Bhimgoda, Har-ki-Pairi, Mansa Devi temple, Pawan Dham, Vishnu Devi temple and Gurukul Kangri University.

  • Rail   : connected with all the important Cities of India viz., Mumbai, Delhi, Agra, Howrah (Calcutta), Varanasi, Allahabad, Ujjain, Amritsar, Dehradun, Lucknow, etc.

  • Road : Haridwar on National Highway no. 45 is well connected to all major Cities and other parts of the state viz. Delhi (214 tons.), Agra (386 kms.), Ambala ( 168 tons.), Badrinath (325 kms.) Dehradun (52 kms.), Kedarnath (250 kms.), Saharanpur (81 kms.), Nainital (386 km.) etc.
